Tui Bottle Feeders

The Tui is probably most peoples favourite bird to attract into their gardens. Their tuneful song is delightful.
Our Tui Feeder is a lovely way to encourage Tui's and other nectar birds such as bell birds into your garden.  These birds feed on  nectar from flowers and flowering trees, but these can be hard for the birds to find in today's suburbs.

It may take a few days or even weeks for the birds to discover that you have put out a feeder, but once one bird finds a feeder, it will remember the location and will attract the attention of other birds in the area, while it is feeding.

The syrup is easily made from sugar and water, using 100g of sugar to 1lt of water.

Our range of Bottle Feeders will make an attractive, economical addition to any garden. Not only do they attract the necter drinkers like Tuis and Waxeyes but also provide a drinking station for other birds in the height of summer when natural water sources are scarce in built up areas.
They can be easily mounted on a post, tree, or Waratah Standard using the screw provided.

If you are just starting to try and attract Tui's to your garden this is probably the best feeder to start with. Tui's like clean, reasonably fresh syrup so the smaller quantity in this feeder will prevent wastage.
If you mix a larger quantity of syrup than you require  it will last for a long time if you store it in your fridge.
Several of our customers have said that they place segments of orange or mandarins around the feeder to attract the Tui's initially.

These Feeders are also great for Bell Birds

By using a wooden stake or Waratah Standard to mount your feeder you can position your feeders for optimal viewing anywhere in your yard. The other great advantage is that you can situate the feeders and bird houses away from fences and trees that cats can jump from.

Good morning from a very satisfied customer Diane Hinton @ Reporoa I bought one of your feeders last year, but had trouble keeping up the JUNGLE JUICE for the birds, so I bought another one! Well I cannot keep up with two either, really wonderful contraption, just love it ...... and so do the birds.

"The tui bottle feeder is a huge hit with the local tui's - I think I've now got feathered flatmates (or maybe gardenmates is the right term)!  I've just ordered a seed bottle feeder for the smaller birds in the garden."
Thanks,
Alison (Wellington NZ)
